10 Days in Vietnam: The Perfect First Itinerary

Ten days is the sweet spot for a first trip — enough to see the highlights north to south without rushing. Here's a route we love (and can tailor to you).

Days 1–3: Hanoi & Halong Bay

Settle into the capital's Old Quarter, then cruise overnight among the karsts of Halong or Lan Ha Bay.

Days 4–6: Central heritage

Fly to Da Nang for ancient Hoi An and imperial Hue, with a cooking class and a scenic drive over the Hai Van Pass.

Days 7–10: The south

End with the energy of Saigon and a couple of days on the waterways of the Mekong Delta — or swap in the beaches of Phu Quoc to finish on the sand.

Make it yours

Prefer more beach, more trekking, or a slower pace? This is just a starting point — tell us what you love and we'll redraw it around you.
